Winifred R. Laws, age 88, died Tuesday February 22, 2011 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph's Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia, following a brief but serious illness.

She was born August 22, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of William S. and Alice F. (Schlender) Quedensley. On June 6, 1942 she married George W. Laws, who preceded her in death on January 31, 2003. She was previously employed as an executive secretary for Hibben & Company, Boilermakers in Chicago, Illinois; was a member of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, Robinson, Illinois, and the Ladies of the Elks, #1188, Robinson, Illinois.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, George W. and Mary Jane Laws Jr., Western Springs, Illinois; daughters and sons-in-law, Cecilia A. and Jerome Wytrykus, Elkhorn, Wisconsin, Ms. Rita M. Laws, Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Jennifer and Mark Baxter, West Allis, Wisconsin, Lisa and Karl Kleppek, Oak Creek, Wisconsin; great-grandchildren, Tyler Baxter, Rachel Baxter, Summer Kleppek and Marty Kleppek. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, George W. Laws.

Visitation will be Thursday February 24, 2011 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL. The Funeral Mass will be Saturday February 26, 2011 at 11:00 am at St. Alexander's Catholic Church, Palos Heights, IL. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, Glenwood Illinois.
