Mrs. Beulah 'Faye' Rainey/Minshall/Osborn, 87, Topeka, died Tuesday, June 11, 1991, at a Topeka nursing home.
Mrs. Osborn formerly cooked for the Hamm Town Combine Crew and had been a foster grandmother for Kansas Neurological Institute. She was born July 16, 1903, in Stanberry, MO., the daughter of Horace and Ora Belle (Coffey) Rainey.
Mrs. Osborn was a member of East Side Baptist Church in Topeka and Goff Chapter No. 439 of the Order of Eastern Star at Goff.
She was married to Gartha R. Osborn on April 11, 1954, in Stanberry, MO. He died in 1973 in Topeka, KS and is buried in Greenridge Cemetery, Gentry County, MO. A son, Vernon L. Minshall, died in 1971 and is buried in West Lawn Memorial Gardens, Topeka, KS, Shawnee County.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Marshall, Topeka, KS, four step-daughters, Maxine Clover, Abilene, Texas, Eva Butts and Fern Reed, both of Kansas City, MO, and Charlotte Bracken, Stanberry, MO; one son, Gerald M. Minshall, Topeka, KS, and three step-sons, Melvin Osborn of Stanberry, MO, Marvin Osborn of Denver, MO, and TW Osborn, St. Joseph, MO; 60 grandchildren; and many great and great-great grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:00 pm. Saturday in Brennan Funeral Home on June 15, 1991. Burial will be in West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Osborn will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Friday until service time Saturday at Brennan Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday.
