Marquan T. Hinkle-Barton was born on July 26, 1989 in Flint, Michigan, the son of LaTasha (Jeffery) Barton-Anderson and Matthew Hinkle. Marquan joined Mount Hermon Missionary Baptist Church on June 14, 1998 and was baptized on July 5, 1998. He was a 10th grader at Northwestern High School. He loved rapping and basketball, and dreamed of being a NBA or Rap Music artist. His favorite color was baby blue and favorite number, 23. Marquan was a very happy and lovable person, very well known and loved by all who knew him. He was full of life, loved to joke around and his favorite saying was "holla at cha boy".

Hinkle-Barton leaves to cherish his memory: parents, LaTasha and Jeffery Anderson; father, Matthew Hinkle; sisters, Jzanayia Anderson and Janisha Sweet; brothers, Matthew and Marcel Hinkle; grandparents, L.S. & Ludille Barton, Jr., Matthew Herron, Brenda Woolridge and Linda White, all of Flint, Dariel and Gladys Anderson of Edwards, MS; great-grandmother, Ludille Miller; 7 aunts; 6 uncles; a host of cousins other relatives and special friends.

Mr. Marquan T. Hinkle-Barton was preceded in death by his grandmother, Iris Herron; uncle, Zachary TorShawn Barton.
