Agnes A. (Ploor) Niesing, age 85, a former Two Rivers resident, died Saturday, November 9, 2002 at North Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 a.m. Monday November 11, 2002 at Klein & Stangel Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be Rev. William O'Brien. Burial will take place at a later date at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Agnes was born April 1, 1917 in Sheboygan, daughter of the late Frank and Rose Gerlach Babich. On October 8, 1940 she married John Ploor in Sturgeon Bay. He preceded her in death on December 16, 1961. Agnes then married Frederick Niesing on July 27, 1962 at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on November 2, 1989. Agnes was employed at Paragon Electric for many years until her retirement.
Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Jackie Hall, Mary and Gary Messman, all of Two Rivers; a step-daughter, Kathleen Niesing, IN; three grandchildren, John Hall, Brianne Messman,and Samantha Messman, all of Two Rivers; one brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Eva Babich, IL; one sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Charles Spooner, MN. Agnes is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday, November 11, 2002 at the Klein & Stangel Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.
