Viola Buckland Meyer
A funeral for Viola Buckland Meyer, a longtime Beaverton resident, will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Pegg, Paxson & Springer. Entombment will follow in Riverview Abbey.
She died Tuesday in a local care center of causes related to age. She was 99.
Mrs. Meyer was born March 3, 1891, in Summerville. She worked for 25 years in the Portland Golf Club office until retiring in 1972 at age 81.
Her husband, George, preceded her in death on March 21, 1990.
Survivors include her son, Stanley Hyde of Roseburg; sister, Vivian Allen of Tigard; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family suggests that remembrances be contributions to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
