OBITUARY
CALVIN MARION HILL
Calvin Marion Hill, Son of Edward Hill and Louisa Vise Auxier was born November 4, 1888 in Adair County, Iowa near Des Moines and departed from this life in the Cambridge Memorial Hospital at the age of 71 years 8 months and 6 days.
At the age of three, his parents moved to a community in Webster County near Red Cloud where he received his elementary schooling.
In 1912, he came to the Devizes, Kansas area where he farmed until marriage.
He was united in marriage to Ollie Mae Nicholson July 27, 1914 in Beaver City, Nebraska. To this union were born a son Edward James of Grand Junction, Colorado, a daughter, Alice Lucile Miner, Indianola and a son Marion LaVon of Wilsonville.
In 1919, Calvin and his wife and son Edward moved to Lamar, Colorado were they Homestedaded until 1925 at which time the family returned to the Wilsonville community. He farmed ar o (???) Wilsonville until retired (?) 1952 when he Moved (?).
He was preceeded in death by his parents, and his (?) ?ther, another brother, E (?) three sisters, Ida Pemberton, Eva Sprinkle, Gertrude Thompson, two half-sisters, Della Lindley, Stella Hurd, and two grand children, Donna Jean, daughter of Edward and David Lynn, son of La Von.
He leaves to mourn his passing wife Ollie, two sisters, Mrs. Daisy Awalt, of Wilsonville, Mrs. Ethel Jurey of Colbert, Wash, his three children, 15 grand children, 2 great grandchildren, Linda and Brend Wynn. A host of nieces, nephews and numerous cousins and other relatives and many many friends.
Calvin was a kind and devoted father and husband and will be long remembered by his neighborliness and kind deeds.
Rev. Merle Jordon Conducted the funeral services at the Christain Church in Wilsonville, Turesday, July 12 at 10:00 am.
Mrs. June Palmer and Mrs. Nadeane Haag were accoumpanied by Mrs. Margaret Stanley for the requested songs of "Beyond the Sunset" and "Saved by Grace".
Pallbearers were Jack Park, John England, Elbert Pywell, Kendall Rice, Dick Kasson, and Don Forbes.
Interment was held at the Wilsonville Cemetary under the direction of Jays Funeral Chapel.
