The Reverend Henry Stephen Clubb, a retired clergyman, of 1023 Foulkrod Street, died yesterday in his home of old age. He was ninety-four years old. For many years, until five years ago, he was pastor of the First Bible Christian Church and he was one of the founders of the Vegetarian Society in this city.
Mr. Clubb was born in Manchester, England, and came to this country when he was twelve years old. His parents settled in Michigan and when the Civil War began Mr. Clubb, then a newspaper man, enlisted and served through the entire conflict.
In 1876 he came to this city and entered the ministry.
He leaves three daughters. Funeral services from his home will take place Tuesday and burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery.
