June Janice Adam passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday, June 13, 2018. She was born June 4, 1928 to Berlyn Hoyt Wade, Sr. and Helen Annie Smallwood Wade in San Antonio, TX. She lived in San Antonio until the age of 16 when her parents moved the family to Boerne, TX. She married Chester W. Adam Sr. on November 27, 1946. They built their home on the Adam property where they raised their three children, Peggy, Tuffy and Sheri. June had a talent and love for oil painting, jewely making, and all sorts of craft projects. She loved to make people laugh, especially her family. This became evident when her second daughter was born. She told the family she was naming her Eve Ann Adam but her family would not allow it. June was the type of mom that everyone wished they had. Her children’s friends would always say why can’t our Mom be like that.
June is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Chester W. Adam; her son, Chester “Tuffy” Adam, Jr.; her sister, Barbara Wade; and her brother-in-law Jimmy Adam and his wife Sally. She is survived by her two daughters Peggy Mott and husband Gary of Junction, TX and Sheri Adam of Boerne; her grandsons Daniel Zenner and his wife Becky of Spring Branch, TX, Adam Zenner and wife Darla of Boerne, Keith Mott and his wife Megan of Lake Hills, TX, Chase Martin of Boerne, Hunter Martin of Boerne; a daughter-in-law Jackie Adam of Boerne; her brother Berlyn Hoyt Wade Jr. and wife Francis; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
