William was the son of William Mcarthur Bickmore and Ida Luella Nielsen. He married Verda Elizabeth Webb on April 22nd 1926 in the Logan LDS Temple. He was active in most Priesthood and Auxillary Organizations of the church. He was a leader in Scouting for over 60 years and was a recipient of the Silver Beaver Award. He taught school for 23 years in Davis County. He served as chaplain in the Civil Air Patrol for 19 years. William was the former mayor of Downey, Idaho.
Funeral Services were held on Thursday, December 19, 1985 at 11:00 A.M. in the Val Verda 2nd Ward Chapel, 2600 South 500 West. A Viewing was held on Wednesday Evening at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main Street from 6-8 P.M. and at the Church from 9:45-10:45 A.M. Prior To Services.
Graveside Services followed at the Bountiful Memorial Park where he was buried.
Verda passed away on January 30, 2007 at age 101.
