Charles Franklin “Charlie” Brown, age 76 of Paris TN, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019 in Belfast, Ireland while on a trip with his family.  

He was a founding member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and a 4th degree Knights of Columbus.  Charlie was a longtime Pharmacist in Paris.  He formerly worked at Sullivans Drug Store and Watsons Pharmacy, and then for many years at Medical Center Pharmacy where he was a co-owner and operator until his retirement.  He was a former chairman of the Henry County Beer Board.  He was a member of the Shed House Group, and he enjoyed gardening, lawn work, woodworking, being at the lake, and being outdoors.  

Born April 6, 1942 in Paris, TN he was a son of the late Austin A. Brown and the late Julia F. Brisendine Brown.

He was married on August 8, 1964 Frances Ellis “Fran” Brown and she survives of Paris, TN.  He is also survived by three sons, Mike (Kathy) Brown, Mark Brown, and Paul Brown all of Paris TN;  and four grandchildren, Austin (Caroline) Brown of Memphis TN, Matthew Brown of Paris TN, Hannah Nichols of Paris TN, and Ava Brown of Paris TN.

Besides his parents, Charlie was also preceded in death by one brother, David Brown.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris TN.  Visitation will be at Ridgeway Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 from 3 – 7 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 11:00 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Walker Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be added shortly

Named as honorary pallbearers are The Knights of Columbus, and The Shed House Group.
