John E. Reed, 84 of Star City, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019. He was born July 7, 1934 in Calmer to the late James Thomas and Eunice Belle Roberts Reed. He was a member and Deacon at Yorktown Free Will Baptist Church; veteran of the United States Army; Owner and Operator of Reed’s Pawn Shop for 55 years, with his wife, Maureen; was a mason and member of Branchville Lodge #256; loved to coon hunt; loved his family and always put them first; would help anybody and was a man of great character.
Also preceding him in death were 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Maureen Morgan Reed; daughter, Elizabeth Reed, both of Star City; and many other family and friends.
