Edwin W. Knope, 78,of 1011 Columbus St., Two Rivers, died Friday morning, Feb. 8,
at Two Rivers Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mark Catholic Church, Two Rivers.
The Rev. John Neuser will officiate and burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens,
Town of Kossuth.

Mr. Knope was born Oct. 18, 1901, at Powers, Mich., son of the late James and
Rosalina Gaedke Knope. He attended school in Peshtigo before moving to Shawano
and came to Two Rivers in 1925. Mr. Knope served in the United States Army in
World War I and married Cele Pokorsky Feb. 25, 1927. He had been employed
with Hamilton Industries from 1925 to 1953 and then operated Knope's Food
Market until his retirement in 1967. He managed and sponsored baseball and bowling
teams from 1932 to 1958, and was a charter member of the Eagles Club. Mr. and
Mrs. Knope celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1977.

Survivors include his wife, a son, Richard (Bucky) Knope of Manitowoc; three
daughters, Mrs. George (Elaine) Senovich and Mrs. Randolph (Carole) Stueck of
Mishicot and Mrs. Jack (Giner) Oren of Two Rivers; four brothers, Wilbur, Marvin
and James Knope of Shawano, and Vernal Knope of Merrill; three sisters, Mrs.
Tess Zeimer, Mrs. Arnold (Mae) Lamperin and Mrs. Leona Kassube of Shawano,
19 grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Two sisters and a grandchild preceded
him in death.

Friends may call at Klein and Stangel, Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers, after 2 p.m.
Sunday, where a prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. The Eagles will have a memorial
service at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
