Mrs. T. J. Bell passed from this life at the Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, August 29, 1940, after a long illness. Everything was done for Mrs. Bell, but medical science was to no avail.
Emma M. Bell was born in Waupun, Wisconsin, February 9th, 1887, where she was reared and educated. She resided there until she moved to this city in 1915. In 1917 she was married to Mr. T. J. Bell and resided here until her death.
She is survived by her widower, three sisters and four brothers. All residing in Wisconsin.
Funeral services were held from the Methodist Church Sunday afternoon under the auspices of the Eastern Star lodge, of which she was a member.
Rev. Roy H. Murray, pastor, preached the funeral sermon, and the church was beautifully decorated with flowers, the tributes of loving friends.
The pall bearers were Mark Camp, Homer Wisner, Arnold Burgress, Otto Camp, Luther Wise and Robert Gordon.
Interment was made in Lacrosse Cemetery, the Eastern Star lodge in charge of graveside services.
Mrs. Bell leaves a host of friends in this community who regret her passing.
