Mr. and Mrs. Kershaw celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary in September. Born in Hebronville, Mass., a son of the late Richard and Lula (Maynard) Kershaw, he lived in Warwick for 91 years.
During the Depression, Mr. Kershaw had been co-owner of Bay Oil Co., which he sold to American Mineral Spirits Co., which became Pure Oil and is now owned by Union Oil.
He was a 73-year member of Doric Lodge 37, F&AM, of Cranston. In 1975 he recieved the Grand Lodge 50-year Veterans Medal. He was a member of Landmark Royal Arch Chapter 10 for more than 50 years. He was a member of Greenwood Community Church, Presbyterian.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Kenneth Kershaw of Warwick; a daughter, Joan Pierce of Rumford; five grandchilderen; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was the father of the late Donald Kershaw, and brother of the late Edith Gleckman and Thomas Kershaw.
