Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 28, from LaRowe Funeral Home, Perry, for Ira E. Foster, 63, of 228 S. Watkins St., Perry, Mich., who passed away suddenly early Saturday morning, August 25, at a Lansing hospital.
Officiating at the services was the Rev. Earl Linderholm, pastor of Webberville Baptist Church. Pallbearers were Marshall Spalding, Cecil Kramp, Barney Zehr, Theodore Dollarite, Ralph Loomis, and Victor Darling. Internment was in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Perry, Mich.
Mr. Foster was born October 23, 1898 in Caledonia Township, Shiawassee County, Michigan to Frank and Addie (Angus) Foster. He had lived in Perry and vicinity most of his life and attended Perry schools. He was married in 1922 to Maude Grundy in Perry Township.
Mr. Foster was employed at Reo Division of White Motors, Lansing, Mich., on assembly. He was a life member of Perry F. & A.M., No. 350, and was affiliated with Corunna R. & A.M.
Survivors include his wife, Maude; one son, Kenneth of Cedarhurst, New York; one daughter, Mrs. Francis Appleton, Los Gatos, California; six grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Purl Comer of Webberville, Mich.
