Alice Middelstadt Asay, 57, passed away June 9, 1999 following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born Nov. 22, 1941 to George and Alberta Middelstadt in Rupert, Idaho. She was raised in a family of eleven in the Riverton area and was a graduate of the old Bingham High School.

Becoming a member of the LDS Church was a true joy in her life. She faithfully served in many capacities of the church. Alice met the love of her life, Jack Asay, while waiting tables in the Sugar House area. They where married Dec. 30, 1962 in Las Vagas, NV, marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Alice was employed most recently with Discover Card and previously with National Semiconductor. Alice was a beautiful wife, a caring mother, a loyal friend, and a faithful member of the LDS Church. Alice's greatest fulfillment was spending time with her family. You could find mom swinging with the grandchildren, curled up with a good book or out traveling the world with her sweetheart. She had an unconditional love for this great man. Her testimony and love of the gospel touched many lives. We thank you for you beautiful example mom. We Love you a "skosh"!

Funeral Service were held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Bluffdale 4th Ward 14400 So. Redwood Rd. Friends attended a Viewing on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at the Broomhead Funeral Home, 12600 So. 2200 West and One Hour Prior Monday at the Church. Interment was in the Riverton City Cemetery.
