Elwood (Woody) Gutschow, 69, of 1221 - 4th St., Kiel, died Sunday morning, Atu. 15, at Greendale Nursing Home, Sheboygan, where he had resided for the past week.
Funeral servies will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutehran Church, Louis Corners. The Rev. Adalbert Schultz will officiated and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Gutschow was born May 13, 1913, in the Town of Meeme, son of the late Ernst and Ida Henschel Gutschow. He attended district school in the Town of Meeme. He married Mavis Prochnow, Aug. 19, 1939, at Zion Lutehran Chruch, Louis Corners. The couple farmed the homestead farm in the Town of Meeeme until retiring in 1978 when they moved to Kiel. Mr. Gutschow was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church, Louis Corners, served on the church council for six years, and was chief usher for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Mavis; two son, Roger of Sheboygan, and Jerry of rural Kiel; two daughters, Mrs. Bill (Karen) Wollersheim of rural Plymouth, and Mrs. Jim (Connie) Kohlbeck of rural Cato, a brother Merlin of Plymouth;....

Gutschow, Elwood William Henry (Woody) (May 13, 1913-Aug. 15, 1982 –husband of Mavis Prochnow [married Aug. 19, 1939 at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Louis Corners, Town of Schleswig] –son of Ernest Gutschow and Ida Henschel –born in Town of Meeme –on Dec. 31, 1948, Elwood purchased from his widowed mother the 120 acre farm centered at 10308 Spring Lake Road in Section 5, Town of Meeme –starting in 1956, Elwood began selling lots along Spring Lake in the NE1/4 of the SW1/4 of Section 5, Town of Meeme –by time the farm was sold to Anton Krepline in 1978, most of the 40 acres in the NE1/4 of the SW1/4 of Section 5 had been sold –on July 28, 1978, Elwood sold the remaining 99 acres of the farm at 10308 Spring Lake Road to Anton and Delores Krepline –this farm then became part of the Krepline farm centered at 15416 County F in Section 32, Town of Liberty –after this sale, Elwood and Mavis moved to Kiel –his residence at time of death was 1221 Fourth Street, Kiel) –buried at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Louis Corners, Town of Schleswig [marriage record Manitowoc 29-107] [death record Manitowoc 83-528]
