Nellie Hannon Moses, 93, of Seventeenth Street, SW, Hickory, died Jan. 4, 1997, at Frye Regional Medical Center after a period of declining health.
Born Nov. 12, 1903 in Spartanburg County, SC, she was a daughter of the late William and Delilah Moore Hannon.
A member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband Alfonzo Killian Moses, a daughter Edna Bridges, 12 brothers and five sisters.
Survivors include a son and daughter in law, C.W. and Coleen Moses of Hickory, a brother, John Thomas Hannon of Spertanburg, SC; three grandsons, Roger Moses of Balls Creek and Albert Bridges, Jr. and Andrew Bridges of Lexington; three granddaughters, Deanne Moses of Hickory, Susan Misenheimer of Boone Debra Bridges of Lexington; and seven great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Philip Vos at 2 pm Tuesday at Hickory Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will be at Hickory Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 tonight and at the home of C.W. Moses, Second Avenue, NW, Hickory at other times.
