AS YOU CAN TELL FROM READING THE BIO. WE ARE NOT SURE OF THE BURIAL SPOT, BUT WILL LEAVE IT THUS UNTIL PROOF IS SENT OTHERWISE. Maybe they shipped his body back to be buried by his wife and their mother.
When Rev. Aaron Patton Cunningham was born on May 14, 1774, in Virginia, his father, Christopher, was 64. He married Elizabeth * Hopkins on November 23, 1796, in Greene, Tennessee. They had several children during their marriage. He died in 1843 and was buried in Hardin County, TN, at the age of 69.
May be that he moved to Mississippi for awhile and died there, because I found this document on Ancestry.com showing he was in Washington, Pike County in 1840 and a co-worker sent this below. But his wife died in Hardin County, TN and he has a daughter and a son buried at White Sulphur Cemetery in Hardin County, TN.

I have an 1845 Tishomingo Mississippi state census that lists Aaron as a resident. His will was probated in Tishomingo County on 06 October 1845. Provided by Dorinda on 01/25/2020.

Just wanted to chat with you a bit about Rev. Aaron Cunningham. I descend from him through his son, Solomon McConnico Cunningham, as does Cindy Watson, who probably has done far more actual research on Aaron than anyone else. We did much of our research through our e-mail conversations and I would suggest a place and she would look there. We were pretty successful.

There are several patents for land in the area that was the ceded to the US by the Chickasaw Nation. This land became first what is called "Old Tishomingo County". Later these lands were divided into several other counties and like all county formations there were changes of boundaries. Of course these folks may never have moved, but the county lines did.
The 1840 census lists him in Hardin County, TN. The 1845 Mississippi State Census lists him in Tishomingo County, MS and his neighbor is Silas Jopling who is one of his sons-in-law. I have nothing other than 1845 as the date of that state census, but I do know that in October of 1845 a probate was filed and the Administrators Notice was published in "The Ripley Advertiser" in Ripley, Mississippi with S.M. and Levi Cunningham listed as the administrators of the Estate. I believe this probate which was filed in Old Tishomingo County is the main probate and that it covers the majority of the property of Aaron Cunningham. Because he owned property in more than one state, an ancilliary probate was filed in Hardin County, TN. These are the two probates that Cindy Watson and I found. If I remember correctly, the actual paperwork is included in the Alcorn County, MS records (those changing county lines again).
There is one other patent listed with the Bureau of Land Management that I would seek out if I were looking for additional information. It is a Military Warrant for 40 acres of land that was issued 2 October 1854, assigned to Sam B Redus. It is for Aaron's service in the War of 1812 as a private in Porter's Company Tennessee Volunteers. It is possible that more information is available by looking into the military service and the granting of the military warrant. This might possibly give the date of death as well as the location of death.

I think it is quite unlikely that Aaron is buried in that cemetery in Tennessee. He was living elsewhere as were several of his adult children who were also in Mississippi. Rather than assign a cemetery, which is misleading, I think it would be better to list him not at a particular cemetery, list the burial location as unknown, but believed to be in Mississippi or Tennessee.

Anyway, just my thoughts and suggestions.
