Jesse L. Elder 63 years of age, died Sunday March 17, 2019. He was born April 5, 1955 in New Albany to the late Jess and Doris (Milan) Elder. Jesse was a self employed Salvage and Scrap dealer, and was the widower of Kathy Jo (Baker) Elder, his wife of some 44 years who died in February of 2017. Jesse loved his Harley, hunting, outdoors, gambling and most of all his wife, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and two brothers; Terry Elder (Joyce), and Darrell Elder.
Survivors include three children, Jesse L. Elder Jr., Stacy A. Elder and Chris S. Elder (Misty); eight grandchildren, Anthony, Jasmine, Shane, Josh, Destiny, Darrell. Destiny and Riley; five great-grandchldren, Aidenn, Brycen, Valor, Brancen, and Kaison; four siblings;, Billy Elder (Jessica), Timmy Elder, Susan Scanlon-Dedman, and Becky Feree (Chuck), along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday March 21, with Remembrance Service at 7 p.m. Thursday evening March 21 in the Kraft Chapel, 708 E. Spring St. New Albany, Indiana. Cremation to follow.
