Dallas Lorian Boggess Jr., age 71, of Charleston, WV completed his journey here on Earth to meet with his Savior in heaven on Sunday, March 17, 2019. Born on June 29, 1947, in Charleston, WV, he was the son of the late Dallas Lorian Boggess Sr. and Goldie Mae Boggess. He was a United States Army Veteran having served in Vietnam. For his service in Vietnam he was awarded two bronze stars with the V-device. He was a Quality Control Manager at West Virginia Paving in Charleston, WV for 21 years. Dallas was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was married to the love of his life Terry Boggess for 28 years and resided in Charleston, WV for the past 16 years. He enjoyed watching Westerns, WVU sports, shooting pool, bowling and singing. His greatest loves were his family and extended family at West Virginia Paving. He was of the Protestant Faith. Survivors left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Terry (Petry) Boggess; two sons, Shane Dellinger and wife Brandy, of Frametown, WV; Jarod Dellinger and wife Suzzette, of Princeton, WV; two grandsons, Jordan Dellinger and Mason Dellinger; one granddaughter, Destiny Drake; two brothers Ronald Boggess and wife Deborah, of Charleston, WV; Charles Boggess and wife Sharon, of Cabin Creek, WV; one sister Stella Reitz, of Tucson, AZ; brother-in-law and life-time friend K.R. Petry; sister-in-law Belva Stallard; three nieces Teri Kincaid, Wendy Lane and Tammy Elliott; and special caregiver and cherished friend Laura Goodwin. Pallbearers will include Johnny Blankenship, Jason Frame, Dusty Milam, Chris Hunter, David Withrow and Wayne Ingram A celebration of life will be conducted on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum in South Charleston, WV with Rev. Jarod Dellinger officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services. Dallas will be honored with Military Graveside Rights presented by the West Virginia Honor Guard assisted by the St. Albans American Legion Post 73 and the St. Albans VFW Post 6418.
