Mrs. Louise Abbott
Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon from Deals Island M.E. Church for Mrs. Louise Abbott, aged 87, who died at her home on Deals Island from a cerebral hemorrhage late Monday evening. Interment was in the cemetery adjoining the church. Services were conducted by the minister in charge.

Mrs. Abbott was a devout Christian and a lovely character respected by all who knew her. She was the daughter of the late James S. and Clara Webster and widow of the late George Abbott of Deals Island. In spite of her advanced age she was unusually active until a few days ago when she suffered a paralytic stroke from which she never recovered.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Julia Harrison of Deals Island and Mrs. Harry Thompson of Cambridge, and four sons: George Abbott, Jr., of Todd, Md.; Howard, Orris and Lennie Abbott, all of Oxford, Md.; one brother of Hebron, David also survives.

Marylander and Herald, Princess Anne, Maryland, Friday, April 7, 1939, p. 1
