Dudley Ardell Benson, 77, of Grand Forks, ND, died with family by his side Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.
Dudley Benson was born July 17, 1941 on his family farm in Arvilla, ND to Ralph and Mae (Hickman) Benson. Dudley graduated from Larimore High School in 1960. After high school, he was employed by Peavey Elevators in Arvilla for several years before joining Hunt Oil Co. in Larimore, ND. He then married Connie Czapiewski in Grand Forks on June 24, 1967. After making Grand Forks their home, Dudley began working for Home of Economy in the Tire Department where he stayed for nearly 30 years. Dudley loved sports, deer hunting, classic cars, his dinner buddies, and most of all his grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter Kristi (Jeremy) Schmidt; 2 grandchildren, Matthew (17) and Piper (14) Schmidt of Mayer, MN and his best friend, Eddy Eley. Dudley is preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Mandel, Dennis and Curtis Benson and his wife, Connie Benson on March 12, 2012.
In Lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.

Visitation: One Hour Prior Funeral Service on Saturday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church.
