Selena Kay Edwards Caraway, 44, of Longview AR, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at the UAMS Hospital in Little Rock. She was born on November 27, 1974 and was a resident of Ashley County most of her life.
She was extremely creative and enjoyed working on various arts and crafts including building crosses, painting and writing poetry. She also enjoyed working puzzles, watching her Lifetime moves and relaxing by the fire on her deck. Her personality brightened every room she entered like a ray of sunshine and her love for life was evident in her laugh and her abundant love for people. She was an extremely headstrong fighter and admired by her friends and family for always expecting more out of herself.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents - Clarence and Lola Poole and Billy Jack and Hazel Edwards; one nephew - Craig Tanner Darbonne; and her children's father, Keith Lytle. She is survived by her two sons - Devon and Casey Lytle, both of Monticello; one sister - Angellena Johnson (Frank) of Natchitoches, LA; one brother - Tony Joe Battaglia (Megan) of Crossett; her mother - Sara Battaglia and step-father Joseph; and her father - Ernest Edwards and step-mother Dianne, all of Crossett; one grandson, Damien Lee Lytle; her fiance' - Sonny Henry of Longview; two nieces - Krystal Darbonne and Katie Battaglia; her favorite cousin, Anita Bozeman; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 pm on Friday, March 22, 2019 at Medders Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Medders Funeral Home Chapel, 1564 Hwy 52 W in Crossett with Bro. Lyle Hern officiating, followed by an interment at Mount Tabor Cemetery in Monticello under the direction of Medders Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Timmy Rice, Darren Brantley, Tony Moffatt, Josh Sawyer, Billy Wayne Edwards and Richard Edwards.
