MARY E. HOPPER PASSES

CROW RESIDENT LEAVES TWO GREAT GRANDCHILDREN

Mary E. Hopper, 68, died at her home on the Crow stage route five miles west of Eugene at 8:30 last night. Mrs. Hopper had been a resident of the Eugene district for 20 years past.

Mrs. Hopper was born May 17, 1860, in Illinois. She moved with her husband, J. W. Hopper, and family to Oregon 20 years ago.

Besides her widower she leaves three sons, Wm. R., Graymont, Iowa; Frank, Eugene, H. M. Crow; one daughter, Mrs. Emma Plummer, Oakland, Cal.; four brothers, C. H., F. L., M., all of Eugene; and M. S. of Turnwater, Wash.; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Hoke, Eula, Mrs. N. J. Fisher, Eugene; and Mrs. Sarah Popejoy, Indiana; 13 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

The funeral is to be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 6, at the Branstetter chapel. Interment is to be in the new I.O.O.F. cemetery.
