Ben L. Duncan and Miss Sarah Gloyd, both of this city, were united in marriage at the residence of Rev. James S. Gash Tuesday at 8 p. m., that gentleman officiating. They will make their home in this city.∼The Macomb Daily By-Stander, page 1

Mrs. B. F. Duncan died Saturday evening at 8 o'clock at her home, 226 South Ward street, after a several year's illness with asthma, aged 52 years, 7 months and 14 days. Funeral services were held this afternoon at the Hainline chapel at 4:00 o'clock conducted by the Rev. W. T. Rodgers. Interment was made in Oakwood Cemetery.
Deceased's maiden name was Butterfield [sic]. She was born near Macomb May 20, 1869 and was twice married [sic], her first husband's name being Gloyd. She was married to B. F. Duncan, who survives her, in February, 1903.
Two daughters, Cassie and Ada besides the husband are living. One son, Clyde LeRoy, lost his life in the world war. One brother, A. M. Gloyd is also living. Her absence in the home will be keenly felt.∼Sarah's maiden name was Gloyd, not Butterfield.
