SMITH.--Berton Crofoot Smith, son of Rev. H. B. and Alzina A. Smith died in Ludlowville, Tompkins Co., New York, August 25, 1872, aged two years, four months, and twenty-four days. He was a bright and beautiful boy. A sunbeam in the household. His death leaves a home sad and lonely. But, "Our Bertie" is with the good shepherd, safe in the upper fold.
