Betty was born on July 9, 1936, in Portsmouth, Ohio, the daughter of Newton Huff and Rosa (Clifford) Huff Jenkins. She spent her life caring for her family and home.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her first husband, David W. Cassady, Sr., formerly of Peebles. She is survived by her husband, Neal Middleton, of Martinez, California; three sons, David (Hedy) Cassady, of Florida; Duane (Claire) Cassady, of Texas; and Matthew Cassady, of Florida; and a daughter, Beverly (Craig) Sechrest, of Colorado. She also leaves behind two stepsons, Dan (Linda) Middleton, of California; and Roger (Kimberly) Middleton, of Florida; as well as two sisters, Lavina Shaffer, of Lucasville, Ohio; and Janet Conley, of Cincinnati. Betty’s passing will be mourned by her seven grandchildren, Melissa, Kevi, Joshua, Danielle, Kyle, Brian, and Nicholas, her six great-grandchildren, and her three great, great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held for Betty on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at 11:00 AM, at the Sinking Spring Community Church, with Greg Seaman officiating. She will be buried in the Locust Grove Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects from 10:00 until 11:00 AM. Following the burial, everyone is invited to a fellowship gathering at the Sinking Spring Community Church.
