Loretta Ann McDonald, 70, died Monday Nov. 18, 2013, at her home in Vernon. Mrs. McDonald, daughter of the late Martin and Ida May (Little) Predmore was born in Franklin Nov. 26, 1942. She has been a lifelong resident of Vernon. Mrs. McDonald retired in 2006 as the Sussex Borough Tax Collector. During her 25 years of service with the borough she served in many capacities. As a youth she was a member of the 4-H Club. Mrs. McDonald was a loving wife. A caring person, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She truly loved baking cakes and teaching her nieces to bake. Mrs. McDonald was predeceased by her son, John K. McDonald in 1975 and 2 brothers, Gary E. Predmore in 1981 and Keith M. Predmore in 1998. She is survived by her husband Kenneth McDonald; sister, Paulette Finnigan and her husband, Thomas, of Vernon; brother, Larry Predmore and his wife, Brenda, of Vernon; nieces and nephew, Melissa Caton, Tammy Watson, Martin Predmore, Amy Breitenbach and Amanda Breitenbach as well as close family friend Patricia Stevens.
