Mr. Harry Mason Smith, 90, of Clearbrook, Virginia, died Monday, April 1, 2019 in The Retreat at Berryville, Berryville, Virginia.

Mr. Smith was born November 21, 1928 in Yawkey, West Virginia, son of the late Henry Harrison Smith and Bertha Mason Smith. He married Virginia “Jenny” Anne Harris Smith on April 9, 1955 in Green Bank, West Virginia. Mrs. Smith died on August 31, 2012. He was also preceded in death by his brother, James Smith.

He was an athletic director working at James W. Robinson Secondary School in Fairfax, Virginia. He had served in the U. S. Army and was stationed in Panama during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post #41 and the National Interscholastic Athletic Administration Association.

Surviving are daughters, Nancy Jo Smith-Wade and her husband, Randy, of Dublin, VA, Jane L. Smith and her husband, Scott Roberge, of Petersburg, AK and Anne M. Smith of Green Bank, WV; grandchildren, Hannah Wade, Jette Wade, and Alex Rodriguez and his wife, Jenna Wilson-Ashby; numerous nieces and nephews and brothers and sisters-in-law.

A celebration of life was held 2:00 P. M. Saturday, April 20, 2019 at his home, 786 Shady Creek Rd., Clearbrook, VA 22624.

Burial was made in Arbovale Cemetery, WV.
