On December 9, 2013, our Lord called Eileen Frances Alessandro to hold hands again with her husband and be with her family and friends in heaven. She was 88 years old, and lived in Palm Desert, Calif. and was formerly from Brecksville, Ohio. She passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was born on December 29, 1924 to Frank and Irene Shaeffer in Cleveland, Ohio. On March 20, 1954, she married the love of her life, Michael, and they lived in Ohio until 2007, when they moved to California to be near their children for health reasons. She was very proud to be a secretary for the White Motor Company for 25 years. She is survived by her daughter, JoAnn Stone; her son, Eugene Michael Alessandro; her grandson, Michael Deets; son-in-law, Carl Stone; and her three favorite nephews, William Alessandro, Joseph Alessandro and Jeff Alessandro. She was pre-deceased by her husband and love, Michael Peter Alessandro. Services will be held on Monday, December 16, 2013, 10:00 am at Forest Lawn in Cathedral City, Calif. In lieu of flowers, Eileen would have liked donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation. Forest Lawn Memorial Parks & Mortuaries.
