He was born Jan. 25, 1926, in Beaver County, Okla. On Dec. 24, 1947, he married Bonnie E. Erickson, in Idaho Springs. He owned and operated a construction business in Oklahoma before moving to Brighton in 1986. He worked for the Bureau of Reclamation in Colorado.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Larry, Colorado Springs, and Kerry, Williamsburg, Va.; four daughters, Donna Lynn Hemme, Durango, Rebecca Ann Gray, Gardnerville, Nev., Christine G. Batman, Fort Collins, and Clara A. Nichols, Cameron, Texas; three brothers, Ben, Woodward, Okla., Bryant, Valley Center, Kan., and J.D., Medill, Okla.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
