Mrs. Freeman was the widow of the late Otis Lewis (O.L., Nooby) Freeman, former Industrial Department chairman and athletic coach at MTSU, who died in 1975.
Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 2 until 4 at Jennings and Ayers.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Jennings and Ayers Chapel with the Rev. Michael O'Bannon and the Rev. Tommy Perkins officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Freeman was born Alice Eugene McDade Sept. 22, 1911 in Troy, in Obion County, Tenn., the daughter of the late George Roy McDade and Clara Ann Bennett.
Mr. and Mrs. Freeman were married Oct. 1, 1932 in Memphis and moved to Murfreesboro in 1934 when Mr. Freeman joined the MTSU faculty.
Mrs. Freeman was president of the MTSC Dames Club and the Little Garden Club. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Anne Huggins Sunday School Class and was serving as an active member of the telephone committee of the United Methodist Women until her illness.
Mrs. Freeman was preceded in death by her only child, George Buckingham Freeman, who died in 2000, her parents; brother Ralph Conner McDade; and sister Amanda Imogene "Jenks" McDade McNamee.
