Hester Ann "Hettie" Tosh was the daughter of George William Tosh & Mary Jackson Tosh. Her grandparents, William & Elizabeth Lindsey Tosh were early settlers (1816) in Independence Co AR. Her father died in 1863 in the Civil War. Hettie married William Henry Cole on Sept 14, 1876 in Independence Co. AR. Their daughter was Nora Alberta "Bertie" Cole (born 1884 in AR). She married Lewis Homer Bradley & had 3 sons. Later she married J.B. Divine. Alberta & brothers Edgar & William (by second wife) were living with their grandfather, John W. Cole in 1900 Township 11, Cherokee Nation, Indian Territory, Oklahoma. It is believed that Hettie is buried in Francis Cemetery, although her tombstone has not been documented.
