GANDY, ROBERT CHARLES, JR., age 60, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away on November 27, 2007 at his home in McCalla, Alabama. He was a member of Bessemer Elks Home Lodge # 721, the Magic City Boppers of Birmingham and the P.C. Group of Columbus, Georgia. Mr. Gandy was very proud of his association with these three organizations, where he had made many close and dear friends. He was proud to be a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Charles Gandy, Sr.; and mother, Aline Newberry.
He is survived by his: beloved partner, Charlotte Sh'ar; daughters, Monica Gandy and Jessica Gandy; and lifelong friends, Tommy Murray and Wayne Langston; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.
An Elks memorial service honoring Robert will be held at Bessemer Elks Lodge #721, 1313 4th Ave. N., Bessemer (205) 424-7301 on Friday, December 7, 2007 at 7:00 pm.
