Joy O. Youngchild, 77, Green Bay, formerly of Manitowoc, died peacefully at a local nursing home on November 11, 2014.

Born on August 1, 1937, in Manitowoc, she is the daughter of the late Charles Edgar and Verna (Levenhagen) Youngchild. Joy graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School, and attended nursing school in Chicago. Joy was a gentle and humble-hearted woman who enjoyed sewing and spending time with family - especially during the holidays.

Joy is survived by two nephews, William (Penny) Roberts, Rhinelander, Paul (Rachael) Roberts, Green Bay; several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Kay Roberts.

Funeral service 6:00 p.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church, 200 S. Ashland Avenue, with the Rev. Randy Argall officiating. Malcore (East) Funeral Home is assisting the family, 432-5579.
