Charles Darden was born to John Darden and Mary "Molly" Clemmons. He was deaf and also had a deaf sister, Anna Darden (d. 1851). Other siblings were Thomas Darden and Mary "Polly" (Darden) Hall. He was married to "unknown" Dews and produced children including Alfred Darden and Catharine (Darden) Parr. He died before December 27, 1847 according to the documented estate proceeding in the chancery court that took a while to complete his estate sale and appraisals. The proceeding of his estate some time ended in summer 1849.
