MARY WRIGHT REEVES OBITUARY
Mrs. Mary Wright Reeves a native of Garards Fort, and a great-grandaughter of the Rev. John Corbley, died at her home in Charkeroi, Sunday morning, January 30, 1938, on her 80th birthday. The deceased was a daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Margaret Chalfant Wright, deceased, and was born at Garards Fort, January 30, 1858. She and her husband, John L. Reeves, who is seriously ill, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary twelve years ago. Surviving besides the husband are the following children: Mrs. Mae Blaker, of Carmichaels; Vincent Reeves and Walter Reeves, of Charleroi; Mrs. William Vance, of Mapletown; and Jay Reeves, of Pittsburgh; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The following brothers and sisters; Albert Wright, of Charleroi; Mrs. Tillie Shearer, of Fayette City; Thomas Wright, Mrs. William Roberts, and Miss Nora Wright, all of Carmichaels, also survive. Two other sisters, Mrs. Anna Kissinger, mother of Arleigh Kissinger, and Mrs. Lillian Adamson, both of Brownsville, and Mrs. Adah Dorsey are deceased. Mrs. Reeves was a lifetime member of the Sugar Grove Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held from the residence in 230 Fallowfield avenue, Charleroi, tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in the Garards Fort Cemetery.
