Her youth was spent in Northern Florida and in Ogle County, Illinois. She lived in California and Utah before moving to Renton, Washington. She has been a resident of Renton for over 40 years. Known to her fellow workers at as "Flo", she worked at Boeing for many years, retiring at the age of 74.
Flora and Norman left a great posterity of 12 children, 51 Grandchildren, and 77 Great-Grandchildren and 21 Great-Great grandchildren
The surviving children are Lamar (Marcia) Jacobs, Gary (Christi) Jacobs, Jolene (Doug) Richmond, Marilyn Goodwin, Kerby Jacobs, all of Renton; Rod Edson and Norlan Jacobs of Florida; Carroll (Bonnie) Jacobs of Lehi, Utah; Lynda (Max) Allen and Julie (John) Vogl of Idaho and Myrna Rushton of Mesa, Arizona.
