No services are planned for Thomas Edward Turek who died Sept. 19, 1996 at the age of 81. Interment will be private at Mountain Valley Memorial Park.
Turek, a native of Illinois, 47 year resident of California and a 24 year resident of Yucca Valley, served in the Army Air Corps during World War II from 1936 to 1946 and worked for the City of Anaheim Park and Recreation Department for 23 years before retiring.
Survivors include two sisters, Ella Heddell of Illinois and Frances McCarville of Iowa; several stepchildren and stepgrandchildren. Wiefels and Son is in charge of arrangements.
