A native of Hardeman County, she was the daughter of the late James Gordon and Janie Sue Henson Crawford. She married Mr. James Morris, who survives on January 14, 1962. She had lived in Waverly since 1970 and also had lived in Columbia, TN and East Tennessee. A member of the Waverly Church of the Nazarene, she had served as a small group leader in the Explorer's Bible Study for 14 years. Mrs. Morris had worked as secretary for Crawford Trucking for 5-6 years.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a son, James Harold Morris and brothers, Larry Crawford of Bolivar and Barry Crawford of Waverly.
