Cheryl Evelyn Fagerberg, 29, of Greeley, CO, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2007 in Red Feather. She was born July 30, 1977 in Greeley to Charles L. Fagerberg, Jr. and Linda Evelyn (Werning) Fagerberg. She was a lifelong resident of Greeley. She attended elementary schools in Greeley and graduated from Greeley Central High School in 1995. She graduated from UNC with a bachelor and Masters Degree in mathematics and statistics and minors in biology and psychology. She was currently working towards her Doctorate in Applied Statistics and Research Methods. Cheryl worked as a resident assistant at Garden Square in Greeley. She was presently a graduate teaching assistant at UNC. She was an instructor for Upward Bound program in the COSMOS summer program at UNC. She was a member of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics. Cheryl raced bicycle moto-cross for four years and enjoyed outdoor sports, including hiking and AMT riding. She also enjoyed attending hockey games and was an eight gallon blood donor at NCMC. She was well liked by her students and faculty at UNC. She loved spending time with her niece and nephew and caring for her grandmothers. She was always happy and fun loving. "Come Cheryl Casual" to the services. She is survived by her mother, Linda Evelyn Fagerberg of Greeley; brothers, John Fagerberg and wife, Gretchen, of Greeley and Alan Fagerberg of LaSalle; grandmother Mary Fagerberg of Greeley; numerous aunts and uncles; nephew, Garrett Fagerberg; and niece, Lauren Fagerberg. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, May 31, 2007 at Allnutt Macy Chapel. A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 1, 2007 at the Macy Chapel. Interment will be private at Linn Grove Cemetery. Family and friend are encouraged to donate blood in Cheryl's honor. Memorials may be made to the Weld County Humane Society or charity of choice in care of Allnutt Funeral Service, 702 13th Street, Greeley, CO 80631.
