She married (1) Willie Morant and (2) Isaac Abraham.

Effie's obituary in the Orangeburg Times & Democrat included: "Survivors include two sons, William Morant of New York and Michael Abraham of West Germany; a sister, Mrs. Hermie Sprinkle of Holly Hill; and two grandchildren."
