Charles Wardell Leisk was professional football player and Oil businessman. Mr. Leisk grew up in Shreveport Louisiana and graduated from C. E. Byrd High School. He attended Louisiana State University on a football scholarship and was named All-Southern tackle and All-Southern Conference guard. He graduated from LSU with a degree in petroleum engineering. Leisk was drafted and played one season (1937) in the National Football League for the Brooklyn Dodgers. He played in 11 games and started in 7 of those games. After his football career Leisk went on to work in the oil industry working for the Texas Company, George W. Strake, Austral Oil company.
