Theodore S. "Fudgie" Karol, 73, of Westwood Avenue, Bridgeton, died Friday August 30, 1991 at the South Jersey Hospital System, Bridgeton Division, after a briedf illness.

Mr. Karol worked at Dupon Chambers-Works Plant for 36 years before retiring in the 1970's

He servied in the National Guard and was a member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception where he served for many years as the caretake of St. Mary's Cemetery.

In additon, Mr. Karol was a member of the Holy Name Society, the Knights of Columbus, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Loyal Order of Moose.

Born in Bridgeton to the late Stefen and Tillie (nee Shurann) Karol, he was a lifelong area resident.

He is survived by his wife Stella S. (Warzbok); three daughters, Patricia Oesterling of Upper Deerfield Twp., Joan Surace of Bridgeton, and Linda at home; one son, Stephen R. of Henderson, NC; a sister Mary of Bridgeton; a brother Michael of Greenwich; seven grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.

Services will be held 10:30am Tuesday at the Freitag Funeral Home, Bridgeton, where friends may call from 9 to 10:30am. A mass of Christian Burial will be said 11am at the Church of Immaculate Conception. Burial will be in Overlook Cemetery.
