Robert B. Ruhle, 87, of Coleman died Thursday March 4, 2010 at the MidMichigan Medical Center, Midland. He was born March 11, 1922, on the family farm, the son of the late Clifford and Edna (Burns) Ruhle. Bob married Vivian D. Pearson May 28, 1949 in Lansing. He was a lifetime farmer in the Coleman area. Bob believed in serving his community, he was active on the following ; Geneva Township Board for 22 years as a trustee, Coleman School Board from 1967 through 1979, Coleman Area Library Board and as its President and the National Farm Bureau. Bob was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Coleman.
Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Vivian of Coleman, children; Ronald & Alice Ruhle of Salem, Illinois, Suzanne Penn of Houston, Texas, Judy & Chris McLaurin of Charlotte, North Carolina, Mary & Dan Kareus of Gladwin, Roy & Holly Ruhle of Royal Oak, Jane & Todd Shawl of Sanford, daughter-in-law Sue Ruhle of Sarasota, Florida, 20 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, sisters, Betty O’Dell of Gladwin, Ilah & Donald Mitchell of Sanford. He was preceded in death by a son Vernon Ruhle.
Funeral services will be held 10 am Saturday March 6, 2010 at the St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 5199 Shaffer Rd., Coleman. Burial will take place in the Warren Township Cemetery, Coleman. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 2-4 & 6-9pm and on Saturday starting at 9 am until the time of services. There will be an evening Vigil Services 7:30pm Friday. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Coleman Area Library or St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. O’Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc. assisted the family with arrangements.
