Margaret Louise Billinger, February 10, 1923 - January 27, 2019.

Margaret Louise Snyder was born on 02/10/1923 at Arapahoe, Colorado. Margie was the 5th child of Harve and Elva Snyder. Margie passed away January 27, 2019 at the Keefe Memorial Hospital in Cheyenne Wells..

The family lived on a farm and ranch southeast of Arapahoe. Margie received her education at the Arapahoe, Co School, graduating from high school in 1940.

Margie met and married her husband Wendelin (Wennie) Billinger in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado. To this union two children were born, Clinton Wendell and Sherry Ann Billinger.

During World War II, Margie and her children lived in Kansas while her husband Wennie served in the army in Europe. When Wennie returned home in 1945 they farmed north of Collyer, Ks. In March of 1949 they returned to Arapahoe Colorado and farmed and lived southeast of Arapahoe on her father's farm. In 1965 after both children had married and left home, Margie and Wennie moved to Cheyenne Wells, Colorado. Margie worked at many jobs, her very favorite being the Cheyenne Wells and Arapahoe schools Secretary. She has many fond memories and joys of the school kids.

Margie retired 12/31/1989 from city clerk assistant. She did a lot of traveling after retiring and enjoyed being with family and friends. Margie did a lot of volunteer work especially at the senior center and Cheyenne Manor. She was a person of strong faith. Her jobs were of helping others. Margie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Her family includes 2 children, 4 granddaughters, 2 great-grandsons, and 3 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, three brothers and two sisters, her husband Wendelin Billinger and son Clinton Billinger.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter and son in law Sherry and Paul McCabe of Gunnison Colorado, Grand children Lana and Todd Shryock of Estherville, IA; Teri McCabe of Colorado Springs, Sherry Boulch of Cheyenne Wells, CO, Michelle and Danny Zadra of Gunnison, CO, Barbie Kernan, special daughter in law and Betty Baker, special friend. Margie will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all.

A Funeral Mass of Resurrection was held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the Sacred Heart Church in Cheyenne Wells with Rev. Carlos Gallardo as Celebrant. Burial followed in the Fairview Cemetery in Cheyenne Wells.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Sacred Heart Church or the Cheyenne Wells Fire Department. Visitation and funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Brown Funeral Home in Cheyenne Wells. "Families you know and families you can trust – serving families like yours".
