SHREVEPORT - Services for Mrs Bess Abney, 84, of Shreveport, will be held at 2:30 pm Friday January 24 at Rose-Neath's Marshall Street Chapel. Brother Charles Ardizzone, associate pastor of Oakmont Church of God, where Mrs Abney was a member, will officiate. Burial will be at Forest Park Cemetery.
Mrs Abney, a homemaker, died at 9 pm Wednesday, January 22, 1986, at Schumpert Medical Center after a brief illness.
She is survived by two sons, Jack L Barron and Monte B Barron, of Shreveport; one sister, Mrs Floss Colvin of Dubach, La; two grandsons, Larry Gene Barron of Shreveport and Curtis Eugene Barron of Minden, La; one granddaughter, Shelia Doyal of Shreveport; and four great-grandchildren.
