Mr. Helm was born Oct. 7, 1906 in New Franken to the late Valentine and Ann Mary Heim and resided in Green Bay most of his life.
He was employed by the Krueger Co.
Survivors are his wife, the former Ethel Ashley; five sons, David and James, both at home; Robert Jr., Algoma; Ronald and Donald, both of Green Bay; two daughters, Mrs. Dan (Carole) Neveau, Jamesville; Mrs. Joseph (Dorothy) Benoit, Green Bay; 16 grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren, three brothers, Carl, Manitowoc; Ray, Stiles; George, Iron Mountain, Mich.; one sister, Mrs. Loretta Lego, Racine.
One daughter, Patricia Marie, preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Schauer and Schumacher West Side Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Wednesday. Private funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Orlan Zuberbler officiating. Burial in Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
