Sylvester Blue Sr., 75, of Palatka, (formerly of Tampa) Florida, passed away on December 2, 2018. Sylvester was born on January 19th, 1943 to John and Adell (Corey) Blue. He attended the public schools of Hillsborough County and was in the 1962 graduating class of Middleton Senior High School. He was a devoted father and avid fisherman who loved all sports, especially football. He was employed as a Truck Driver for C&F Industries for 13 years and later ventured into business for himself as an Owner-Operator. He retired in 2005 and resided in Palatka, Florida.
Sylvester was preceded in death by his parents: John C. Blue Sr. and Adell (Corey) Blue, Brother: John C. Blue Jr., Sisters: Louella Blue Hicks and Thelma Blue Williams. He is survived by wife Betty Blue, sons: Anthony Johnson, Sylvester Blue Jr. (Tanya) and Jamel Blue; Daughter: Barnita Blue Moore (Antoine); (7) Grandchildren. (2) Great-Grandchildren. Brothers: Leroy Blue (Claudine), James Blue (Freddye); Sisters: Amanda Blue Hicks, Barbara Jean Blue Baker and his devoted companion of many years Merlene Ellerby a host of Nieces, Nephews and friends of the family.
